1. How do I search for products?  Top
Convenient search options include:
  • By Keyword: Type a word or phrase into the Search the Academy Store box in the upper left corner of the page. For example, "coding books" or "glaucoma."
  • By Subject Category: Click on the links on the left side of the page to find products for physicians (i.e., Clinical Education or Practice Standards & Quality), patients (i.e., Patient Education), and office managers/staff (i.e., Practice Management). Then click on a subject (i.e., AAOE - Coding & Reimbursement) and browse your options.
2. How do I get to the Checkout page to complete my purchase?  Top
Under Shopping Cart on the lower left side of the page, click on the Checkout button. You will then be asked to enter your credit card and shipping information. Once you have filled in the information, click on the Process My Order button to complete your purchase.
 
3. How do I make changes to my product selections in the Shopping Cart?  Top
You can make any additions, deletions or quantity changes to your order by clicking the View Cart button under Shopping Cart on the lower left side of the page.
 
4. How do I get my member discount when I order online?  Top
To receive member pricing, enter your User Name and Password under the Login section on the left side of the page. The system will automatically give you the discounted product rates.
 
5. If I have to leave the Academy Store before I'm done purchasing, will the items in my Shopping Cart be saved?  Top
If you close the browser window before you have logged in, then the items in your Shopping Cart will not be saved. If you have logged in with your User Name and Password and log out before completing your purchase, then the items in your Shopping Cart will be saved.
 
6. I have questions and want to talk to a live person. How do I get in touch with a Customer Service Representative?  Top
Please call 866.561.8558 (toll-free – U.S. only) or 415.561.8540. Customer Service Representatives are available to assist you Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time). You may also contact a representative via email at customer_service@aao.org.
 
7. How long will it take for my order to arrive?  Top
  • United States and Canada
    Orders are shipped via Federal Express Ground and usually arrive within 7-10 days from the date the order is received.
  • International Orders
    International orders are shipped via Federal Express International Economy and usually arrive within two weeks from the date the order is received.
All shipments are subject to stock availability.
 
8. What types of payment do you accept?  Top
  • Credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB
  • Check or money order payable to AAO in U.S. funds (mail orders only)
All orders must be pre-paid. We do not accept COD orders.
 
9. What are your shipping rates?  Top

  • Additional customs charges, such as duties and taxes, are your responsibility
  • Shipping fees are nonrefundable
  • Street address is required
  • Do not include the price of any CD-ROM products when determining shipping charges. If order only contains CD-ROMs, please add $9 within the United States and Canada and $30 to all other countries

10. What if I need a Rush Order?  Top

11. I live outside the United States. Is there anyone I can contact in my local area to purchase Academy products?  Top
The Academy has several international distribution partners worldwide. Please contact the distributor directly to order products in your area.
 

12. I was offered a promotional discount in a brochure/fax/email I received from the Academy. How do I redeem it?  Top
Upon Checkout, enter the Promotion Code in the Promotional Code field in your Shopping Cart, then click on the Apply Discounts button and the discount will be automatically deducted from your total.


13. How do I access the online products that I've purchased? For example, Focal Points or Basic and Clinical Science Course.  Top
Go to the AAO.org home page or the Ophthalmic News and Education (O.N.E.™) Network at AAO.org/ONE and log in with your User Name and Password. Click on the My Online Products in the upper right corner, and then select the product you would like to access. Alternatively, you can go to www.aao.org/myonlineproducts and log in with your User Name and Password and select the product you would like to access.
 
14. How do I get back to the AAO.org home page from the Academy Store?  Top
Click on the AAO.org Home link in the footer of each page.
